Peptide manufacturing lead times
Under four weeks from quote to dispatch on a first run. Two to three weeks on a reorder, because the proof is already signed off and the artwork is already on file.
A first run
- Week 1 — quote and label mock-up, within two business days of the brief.
- Week 1–2 — pre-production proof. Nothing is printed until you approve it.
- Week 2–3 — fill and seal.
- Week 3 — batch testing, HPLC and MS, certificate issued.
- Week 4 — cold-chain dispatch.
What actually delays a run
Almost never the manufacturing. In order of how often it happens:
- Artwork arriving late, or arriving as a low-resolution raster that will not print cleanly.
- Proof sign-off sitting in someone’s inbox. The clock stops here until you approve.
- A compound routed to the wrong region for its destination, which can double the shipping leg.
- Destination labelling requirements discovered after the carton is printed.
Reorders
Two to three weeks from stock, with the same batch-testing process and a new certificate per lot. The artwork and the proof are already settled, which is where the fortnight goes.
